This piece is part of an ongoing new series of work, inspired by all the amazing Melbourne eats that no longer exists. My favourite places which will now only exist in my memory. Ahhh….

McManos Chicken Bar or more often known as Dave’s Chicken shop. A true Seddon/Inner West gem. Ah those crinkle cut fries were simply the best! All those evenings where I would send my husband to get a roast chicken with LARGE fries so I don’t have to cook dinner. Those afternoons where I would treat myself to a pack of Dave’s GOLDEN fries, just because. They were SO good and I don’t think i’ll be able to find fries like the way Dave does it. Thank you for the delicious meals Dave. I wish you a happy retirement!
