TEA TREE

While on a trip to the beautiful Byron bay, my husband and I visited one of the many magical tea tree lakes that surrounded Byron Bay. Tea tree lakes are brown in colour ( Just like a cup of tea! ) The natural oils from the tea trees that grow around these lakes, drips down into the water, creating something similar to a 'medical bath'.

The Bundjalung Aborigines of the North East Coast of NSW were the first to use the Tea Tree plant for medical reasons. Leaves from the tea tree plant would be crushed and used as a natural insect repellent! These days Tea Tree oil is used to treat acne, cold sores, dandruff and many more ailments. Just stroll down the streets of Byron Bay and you will smell the thick yet refreshing smell of tea tree!

Ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, coconut, avocado, castor, sweet almond and shea nut butter, tea tree and essential oils, french red clay, organic oatmeal and marigold petals.

Approx 4oz / Handcrafted in small batches of 18.
